Aurora Racing what do we do

Who are we and what do we stand for?

Aurora (5).png

At Aurora Racing Club,

OUR CLUBS aim is to redeem a presence of horse racing in urban environments and reconnect with multitude of demographics disconnected from racing and other equine industries.

Across the world racecourses, training establishments and other equine outlets are closing unnecessarily due to irresponsible developments and poor planning, at Aurora racing we will establish a commercially viable blueprint to reverse these effects which are adversely effecting the industry as a whole.

How are we different?

Aurora Racing club while run as a business, we will maintain an altruistic approach towards giving our members a long-term functional foothold in the Horse racing industry.

How do we plan to achieve this?

Your weekly subscription not only goes towards owning a share in a Race horse, it will also go towards building racing and equine structure in urban areas otherwise forgotten by the equine industry as a whole.

We will also have commercial objectives with our horses, as part of our building process.

Each member of Aurora Racing Club will benefit from not just prize money, but from the sale of horses whether it be stallion syndications, foal shares etc

Prizemoney will be redistributed amongst Club members minus costs every 10 million accrued from winnings.

The aforementioned facilities as well as having access, members will be beneficiaries from profits minus costs.

We are looking to build an American style system where young and up and coming trainers can avail of our facilities at a reduced rate and members will be beneficiaries of the above plus clubhouse bar and other facilities going forward. We will in time crossover into other equine discipline's, and perhaps use these as a stepping stone for geographically disenfranchised  individuals.

What motivates us?

Whether you live a life of affluence or are struggling day by day like the majority of us, time is of the essence either way. Big cities and urban areas all over the world are losing their soul due to overdevelopment and destruction of facilities that were once part of the social fabric of society.

Sticking to the equine industry and close to home, Dublin city was once home to Goff's, The Phoenix Park Racecourse, The Phoenix park training ground currently locally know as the fifteen acres. In the last ten years multiple facilities of this nature in the city have fallen to developers and believe it or not its the case that some racing yards going back to the 50s are still intact yet land banked and not used over a 25 year period. We believe that while not every agricultural dweller wants to be a farmer, not every city dweller young kids especially want to work in an office or a trade they consider mundane. â€‹

Its our aim to Redeem a once thriving and knowledgeable community of horsemen and women some of whom are still alive today and kicking.

Its also our aim to pass this tradition onto the next generation to come.

How does it work?

1 / Membership

Aurora Racing club will charge a weekly subscription fee

Payable each week  or upfront Yearly

2 / Members Welcome Pack

Each member will receive a welcome pack to introduce them to the club and explain the plan for the next 12 months.

They will receive merchandise with the amazing Aurora Racing Logo

3/ Horses in Training

Each member will be updated on training workouts for each horse in training and given plenty of notice of when the horse will run

The club management will be thrifty and will not run up expenses unnecessarily on stock not equipped to provide entertainment and value , it is our aim at all times to treat members as shareholders and aim for horses that will appreciate in value exponentially where and if possible

4/ Race Days

Once a race day comes around, each members name will be placed into a draw and the winners get to experience the first hand excitement of their horse running and all that it includes , hospitality etc

5/ Winnings and Profits of Aurora Racing Club

This is where things get interesting , We have huge plans and a long term objective for Aurora Racing Club. The club is capped at three thousand members and as a member you would be entitled to x percentage of Prize money, x percent of Sales of horses, stallion syndications and x percentage  of any profit made by Auroras stock. As mentioned previously our aim is to build a self perpetuating club and x percent of members fees will be put aside for building facilities, that urban based trainers can avail of at reasonable costs based on economy of scale. In other words if the local accountant or carpenter want to train race horses but cant make the step fully they can use one or two stables at a cost. Ancillary facilities coffee shops , Gift Shop, etc will all generate income in time and members will get x percent of the profits.

6/ Lets give back!!

We want to pump a percentage of our profits back into areas which have been otherwise alienated from Horse Racing.

In the 80s the Phoenix Park Racing track closed its doors and in turn hundreds of Horse racing lovers missed out on Horse Racing on their doorstep! We want to change that. Land banking in Dublin is rife! We want to create a hub for Horse lovers in the city, With our members at the heart of creating this.

To provide a professional arena within Dublin whereby people can learn and enjoy this on their doorstep, an amenity lost to Dublin City. We want to give back in a huge way. This is a model we want to transfer across the globe eventually having an aggregate based model whereby members are intertwined, in terms of being beneficiaries
